ABOUT

Marie Bryce is a storyteller, community builder, and creative working at the intersection of oral tradition, visual media, and lived experience. At the heart of her work is a belief that stories—when held with care—have the power to create understanding, connection, and change.

After deepening her storytelling practice in Scotland, Marie returned to Calgary, where she has shared stories through festivals, workshops, concerts, and community spaces. Marie would go on to be the Storyteller in Residence at the Calgary Public Library in 2024. In 2017, she began expanding her craft through the Toronto Film School program, marking the start of an evolving videography practice grounded in curiosity, experimentation, and intention.

Through Emerging Narrative, Marie creates written, visual, and spoken stories for individuals and organizations who want to communicate their impact and their why in a way that feels human and honest. Her work is shaped by collaboration and a growing skill set in video production, photography, and oral storytelling—offered at an accessible price point for those who value process as much as outcome.

Alongside her creative practice, Marie has spent years working in the social-profit sector, developing strong skills in project management, group facilitation, and community development. This experience deeply informs her approach: thoughtful, organized, people-centered, and grounded in real-world impact.
